Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician looking for your next challenge? We are urgently seeking a qualified Band 4 Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Croydon. This temporary role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital environment with a competitive pay rate.

Vacancy Type: Full-time/Part-time 

Salary: £19.69* an hour including agency commission at £3.11* an hour

Key Responsibilities:

 As a Band 4 Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician, you will: 

  • Conduct medicines management activities within the hospital setting, including taking drug histories, assessing patients' own medications, ordering, and providing counselling to patients. 

  • Label and dispense medications accurately, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols and procedures. 

  • Utilize the JAC computer system for managing prescriptions and inventory. 

  • Provide accredited checking of prescriptions, ensuring the highest standards of safety and accuracy.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria: 

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of NHS secondary care experience, specifically in a hospital setting. 

  • Expertise: Proven experience in the role of a Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician, including drug histories, patient medication assessments, and counselling. 

  • Skills: Proficient in labelling and dispensing medications, with strong knowledge of the JAC computer system. 

  • Qualification: Must hold the Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) qualification.
