COVID-19 Testing Now Available for all Essential Workers
As part of the nationwide screening, COVID-19 tests are now available to all agency workers who provide services in the essential services sector. We are encouraging all agency staff to undergo testing as soon as possible. The NHS screening team will be in touch with you directly to discuss this with you.
A large number of our clients are asking us to provide confirmation that testing for COVID-19 is underway, and we would ask that you please provide us with a copy of your test results as soon as they are available. This can be done by logging into your Staffshift profile and adding the details of your most recent COVID-19 test results under the qualifications section. At this stage, you will have access to upload your test results to substantiate the details supplied.
It is essential to follow government guidance at all times. If at any time you are exposed to or experience symptoms of COVID-19, you must self isolate at home - this includes if someone in your household has tested positive.
We would ask that you inform us of any period of isolation so that we could notify clients accordingly of exposure. Staff with persistent symptoms may need to consult NHS 111, as a repeat test may be required.
Training & Resources For Health Workers in Response to COVID-19
We have availed updated infection control and COVID-19 awareness training modules via our training provider Healthier Business, and it is imperative that you undertake this test to ensure that you are following clear protocols when working.
