At Ambition24hours Locum and Allied, we are seeking a dedicated band 3 pharmacy assistant to support clinical services within hospital wards. This role is essential in ensuring that patients receive the highest standard of pharmaceutical care in a fast-paced environment.
As a Band 3 Pharmacy Assistant, you will:
Deliver a strong pharmacy presence in a demanding clinical environment.
Ensure medication storage and security comply with national standards.
Serve as a vital link between the multidisciplinary team at ward level and the Pharmacy Service.
Engage with patients and their relatives regarding their medications upon admission, optimising the use of patients' own medicines through direct discussions.
Develop a foundational knowledge and practical experience in medicines management duties.
Participate in the overall running of the department, undertaking a full range of pharmacy assistant duties.
Transfer medicines to other wards to reduce missed doses.
Provide ward-based dispensing services to streamline patient discharges.
